A. Our facility is 16,000 sq. ft.
Q. What types of classes are offered?
A. We offer preschool, recreational and competitive Gymnastics, creative movement, introduction to dance (jazz, tap, ballet and hip-hop), ballet/tumbling, introduction to cheer, tumbling/trampoline, hip-hop/tumbling, acrobatic gymnastics, ninja fit classes, and private lessons. Classes are divided according to age and skill level.
Q. How long is each session?
A. Students will be automatically enrolled for the entire school year program with payments due every 2 months. Payment is due by the 20th of the preceding month. Therefore, payments are due on the following dates: August 20th (for September and October), October 20th (for November and December), December 20th (for January and February), February 20th (for March and April), and April 20th (May and June). 2 month period payments might vary due to holidays. Students beginning in the middle of a 2 month pay period will pay a prorated amount based on the number of classes remaining in the pay period.
Q. Do you offer trial classes?
A. Yes, we offer trial classes for $15.
Q. What if my child has to miss a class?
A. Each student has the opportunity to schedule one make-up class per each 2-month pay period if space in a class allows. All extended absences due to illnesses/injuries will be handled on a case-by-case basis. These makeup classes must be scheduled in advance. Please call the office and request a makeup.
Q. How do the children advance to the next level?
A. At each level, there are certain skills that have to be mastered before a child can advance to the next level. Informal evaluations are conducted throughout the year and formal evaluations can be conducted upon request. The instructor is the person who makes the decision regarding whether a student is ready to move to the next level. If you have any questions regarding whether your child is placed in the correct level, please ask your child’s instructor or stop at the front desk.
Q. Does Gym America –Gymnastics & Dance center have a competition team?
A. Gym America currently has gymnasts competing in Women's JO Levels 3-9 and Men's Level 3-5, as well as Xcel Bronze through Diamond Divisions.
Q. Do you offer birthday parties?
A. Yes, we do offer birthday parties. Birthday parties available include gymnastics, dance, creative movement, cheerleading and combination parties. We also offer "American Ninja Warrior" themed gymnastics parties. Check the birthday section of our website for more information. Due to COVID-19, there is currently little availability.
Q. Do you offer private lessons?
A. Yes, we offer private lessons. Private lessons cost $70/hr. Please call the office to request information.
Q. How much is the registration fee and what does it cover?
A. A $65 registration fee is due every September. Students beginning after January 1st, will be prorated to the amount of $48. Our summer registration fee is $27. This is an annual fee due every September or when joining our program.
Q. What is your withdrawal policy?
A. Students will be automatically enrolled for the entire school year program unless proper withdrawal procedures are followed by providing written notice by the 20th of the preceding month that payment is due. This date corresponds to the payment date for each 2 month pay period.
Q. What is your refund policy?
A. No refunds or credits are provided unless proper withdrawal procedures have been followed as detailed above. Any part of a 2 month pay period attended or that proper withdrawal procedures were not followed must be paid for in entirety. Student may transfer to another class based on availability. All refunds and credits are handled by the Program Directors.
Q. Is there a discount for taking multiple classes per week or for more than one child in your program?
A. Students will receive a 10% discount per class for more than one class per week off of the second class or additional classes taken and a 10% discount for the second child or more enrolled at Gym America - Gymnastics & Dance Center. If more than one child is enrolled at Gym America a 10% discount will apply to the 2nd child’s classes or any additional children.
Q. When do you offer evaluations to determine what level my child should register for?
A. Please call or email us to schedule an evaluation.
Q. Do you offer a military discount?
A. Yes, we offer a 10% discount to those who are active military personnel.
Q. What should my child wear to their gymnastics class?
A. Your child is welcome to wear a leotard, but it is not required until they reach the blue/bronze level. At the beginner levels, gymnasts may also wear any type of athletic clothing that does not contain snaps, zippers, buttons or any other hard objects and does not expose their midriff. Your child must have bare feet during class so that they do not slip on the equipment. Long hair must be tied back out of their face for safety. Please make sure that your child is not wearing any type of jewelry including earrings that go below their earlobe. Earrings can become hooked on objects or when a coach is spotting them and there is the potential for this to injure/rip their earlobe.
Q. Can I take pictures of my child during class?
A. We do not allow any type of photography from our lobby. However, 3 times per year, we invite parents to come out during their child's class to see their progress and to take pictures and video. These family observation weeks occur during December, March and June.

Q. Do you require background checks on your staff?
A. Yes, all of our staff must have background checks and complete the Safesport Certification through USA Gymnastics. Gym America is committed to ensuring the safety of children.
